Lakhanpur is a small village of 167.2 hectares in Baberu Tehsil in Banda district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Lakhanpur depends on kamasen, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One Well supply, One tank, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. The area of Lakhanpur is segregated as 161.94 hectares irrigated area, 60.73 hectares unirrigated area. the 17.81 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves) and remaining 5.67 hectare area not available for cultivation.
