Koundi is a small village of 544.8 hectares in Koraon Tehsil in Allahabad district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Koundi depends on Koraon (NP), the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One Well supply One tank and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river,One canal. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Koundi's pin code is 212104[4], and village code is 05657100. The area of Koundi is segregated as 378.79 hectares irrigated area, remaining 136.01 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Koundi has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.
