Korhniya is a small village of 75 hectares in Meja Tehsil in Allahabad district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Korhniya depends on Sirsa (Np), the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river,. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Korhniya's pin code is 212306[4], and village code is 05642500. The area of Korhniya is segregated as 60 hectares irrigated area, 3 hectares unirrigated area. the 7 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves) and remaining 5 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Sirsa (Np) and Allahabad to sell carpet and make their living.
