Khunta is a small village of 115.3 hectares in Belthara Road Tehsil in Ballia district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Khunta depends on Bela Pratapgarh, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One Well supply and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Khunta's pin code is 221716[4], and village code is 09079800. The area of Khunta is segregated as 108 hectares irrigated area, 7.34 hectares unirrigated area.

Khunta has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Bela Pratapgarh and Ballia to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
