Kharkauli is a small village of 198 hectares in Nizamabad Tehsil in Azamgarh district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Kharkauli depends on captaganj, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One Well supply, One tubewell and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Kharkauli's pin code is 276206[4], and village code is 08721900. The area of Kharkauli is segregated as 128 hectares irrigated area, 20 hectares unirrigated area. and remaining 50 hectare area not available for cultivation.
