Khara is a small village of 178.7 hectares in Meja Tehsil in Allahabad district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Khara depends on Sirsa (NP), the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One Well supply. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Khara's pin code is 212305[4], and village code is 05624000. The area of Khara is segregated as 40 hectares irrigated area, 90 hectares unirrigated area.

Khara has Two banks, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Khara is a census village in the district of Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh. The village has a total population of 1029 and has total administration over 181 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Sirsa (NP) and Allahabad to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
