Khanpur is a small village of 43.2 hectares in Nizamabad Tehsil in Azamgarh district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Khanpur depends on Mahrajganj (NP), the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, One tank, One tubewell and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Khanpur's pin code is 223227[4], and village code is 08525500. The area of Khanpur is segregated as 25.047 hectares irrigated area, 1.28 hectares unirrigated area. the 0.443 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves) and remaining 0.443 hectare area not available for cultivation.
