Khajooriya is a small village of 58 hectares in Kotra Tehsil in Udaipur district, also called 'the city of lakes' set amidst the Aravalli Ranges in the state of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Khajooriya depends on Pindwara, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 7.00% of the total supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, Two canals and Two springs. Khajooriya is also surrounded by Two lakes. They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Pindwara and Udaipur to sell bamboo basket and make their living.
