Kathem Al Tayeb (كاظم الطيب) (born 1 December 1997) is an Iraqi singer and songwriter who rose to popularity with the release of his debut songs Fadeitak and All My Life. He is regarded as one of the best vocalists in Najaf which has resulted in him garnering a massive social media following.[1]
As of 2022, Al Tayeb is working on the release of his first music album titled Oh Honey that will even have a duet song with another renowned artist Sidra Hassan.
Early life and education
Al Tayeb was born on 1 December 1997 to Ali Kermasha. He grew up in a family that is passionate about art. Al Tayeb completed his elementary education in Damascus. While growing up, Al Tayeb was passionate about reading books and also participated in numerous sports activities. During his high school, he was also a member of the football team that won the Province Cup.
Later, Al Tayeb enrolled in the Music College at Baghdad University where he acquired a bachelor’s degree. He also received a certificate from the Music Academy.
Career
Al Tayeb was noted as a potential voice by many respected artists, like the Iraqi artist Mahmoud al Shaairy, Egyptian composer Sherif Hamdan, and Bassem Al-Al, shortly after joining the college of arts.
Initially, Al Tayeb had no intention of singing, but he quickly found himself self-contracting a huge production business to produce three singles. He released his first song in 2019 that received mass acclaim resulting in him going on a concert tour across the country and into the Middle East.

Al Tayeb is fluent in Arabic and English.
