Karkha is a small village of 125.5 hectares in Nawabganj Tehsil in Barabanki district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Karkha depends on Satrikh (NP), the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One Well supply and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Karkha's pin code is 225003[4], and village code is 05766400. The area of Karkha is segregated as 89.953 hectares irrigated area, 2.361 hectares unirrigated area. the 0.78 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves) and remaining 32.351 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Satrikh (NP) and Barabanki to sell bricks and make their living.
