Kargeta is a small village of 186 hectares in Salumbar Tehsil in UDAIPUR district in the state of RAJASTHAN, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Kargeta depends on Salumbar, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, Two canals and Two springs. Kargeta is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Kargeta's pin code is 313027[4], and village code is 03233800. The area of Kargeta is segregated as 11 hectares irrigated area, 49 hectares unirrigated, the 100 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 26 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Salumbar and UDAIPUR to sell earthen pot and make their living.
