Karaura is a small village of 139.5 hectares in Sirauli Gauspur Tehsil in Barabanki district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Karaura depends on Tikait Nagar (N), the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One Well supply and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Karaura's pin code is 225206[4], and village code is 05792300. The area of Karaura is segregated as 95 hectares irrigated area, 16 hectares unirrigated area. the 29 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves).

Karaura has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.
