Karampur is a small village of 378 hectares in Akbarpur Tehsil in Ambedkar Nagar district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Karampur depends on Akbarpur (MB), the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Karampur's pin code is 224151[4], and village code is 06138500. The area of Karampur is segregated as 213.41 hectares irrigated area, 24.23 hectares unirrigated area. the 105.57 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves) and remaining 34.54 hectare area not available for cultivation.
