Jigna is a small village of 37.22 hectares in Tanda Tehsil in Ambedkar Nagar district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Jigna depends on Tanda (MB), the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers,Two canals and Two springs. Jigna is also surrounded byTwo lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Jigna's pin code is 224145[4], and village code is 06010600. The area of Jigna is segregated as 25.09 hectares irrigated area, 2.83 hectares unirrigated area. the 7.29 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves) and remaining 2.02 hectare area not available for cultivation.
