Jawad is a small village of 1699 hectares in Sarada Tehsil in Udaipur district in the state of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Jawad depends on Salumbar, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 12.58% of the total supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Jawad is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Jawad's pin code is 313703[4], and village code is 03248900. The area of Jawad is segregated as 31.15 hectares irrigated area, 279.65 hectares unirrigated, the 673 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 629 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Salumbar and Udaipur to sell rope making and make their living.
