Jata is a small village of 494 hectares in Nawabganj Tehsil in Barabanki district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Jata depends on Banki (NP), the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One Well supply and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Jata's pin code is 225122[4], and village code is 05767700. The area of Jata is segregated as 258 hectares irrigated area, 80.2 hectares unirrigated area. the 50.32 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves) and remaining 91.48 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Jata has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Jata is a census village in the district of Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh. The village has a total population of 2450 and has total administration over 423 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Banki (NP) and Barabanki to sell bricks and make their living.
