Jaraunda is a small village of 13 hectares in Ramnagar Tehsil in Barabanki district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Jaraunda depends on Ramnagar (NP), the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Jaraunda's pin code is 225201[4], and village code is 05733200. The area of Jaraunda is segregated as 130 hectares irrigated area, 112 hectares unirrigated area. the 102 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves) and remaining 26 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Jaraunda has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Jaraunda is a census village in the district of Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh. The village has a total population of 1971 and has total administration over 349 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Ramnagar (NP) and Barabanki to sell jaggery and make their living.
