Jar Mau is a small village of 221.4 hectares in Haidergarh Tehsil in Barabanki district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Jar Mau depends on inhona, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One Well supply and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Jar Mau's pin code is 225125[4], and village code is 05865900. The area of Jar Mau is segregated as 132.905 hectares irrigated area, 35.796 hectares unirrigated area.

Jar Mau has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.
