Jamdan is a small village of 304 hectares in Nanpara Tehsil in Bahraich district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Jamdan depends on Nawabganj (MB), the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One Well supply and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Jamdan's pin code is 271803[4], and village code is 06444100. The area of Jamdan is segregated as 117.24 hectares irrigated area, 158.75 hectares unirrigated area. and remaining 25.05 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Jamdan has One post office (Jamdan B.O). Jamdan has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Jamdan is a census village in the district of Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh. The village has a total population of 2616 and has total administration over 487 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Nawabganj (MB) and Bahraich to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
