Jafarpur is a small village of 121 hectares in Nizamabad Tehsil in Azamgarh district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Jafarpur depends on Azamgarh (MB), the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Jafarpur's pin code is 276205[4], and village code is 08674300. The area of Jafarpur is segregated as 76 hectares irrigated area, 20 hectares unirrigated area. the 11 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves) and remaining 14 hectare area not available for cultivation.
