Harvee Pene (born 17 November 1985) is an Australian accounting entrepreneur, business executive, author, and keynote speaker. He is the founder of Life Changing Accountants and has authored a total of 12 books as of 2022 that have been published by The Greater Good Publishing Co. & Dean Publishing.[1] Pene is well known for providing demand-generating videos to assist budding accountants 'Stand Out' and grow their businesses.[2]
Pene is a two-time TEDx speaker and UN Global Goals Ambassador who has also shared the stage with Michael E Gerber, his business idol.[3] He was named one of Australia's ten outstanding young people, an honor he won when his former accounting firm provided 10+ million days of food, water, health, and sanitation to families in need in 16 countries, helping to end poverty. He's also become one of the country's top 100 podcast hosts.[4]
Early life and education
Pene was born on 17 November 1985 in Whangarei. His mother was a minor (16 years old) when she had him and three years later the family moved from New Zealand to Australia. Pene completed his high school education at Brisbane State High School and then enrolled in the Queensland University of Technology, where he pursued a bachelor’s degree in Accounting. Currently, Pene's goal is to study medicine and become a Doctor.
Pene started his first company when he was 12 years old, cutting lawns in the neighborhood. Soon, he saved enough money at the age of 17 to buy his first investment property. He launched his second firm as a scaffolder when he was 18 years old, and it grew into a huge construction training and labor hire company five years later.
Career
Pene began his career in 2010 as a business manager for ChangeGPS, where he worked for over five years. In 2015, he joined Inspire, an accounting firm based in Brisbane. Pene worked as a business advisor and planner for this firm and helped it grow exponentially. Under his leadership, Inspire was twice recognized as one of the Top 100 Companies in Australia. In 2011, he was named one of JCI Australia's Ten Outstanding Young Persons for his Day for Dollar giving project, which saw his accounting firm, Inspire - Life-Changing Accountants, provide over 10,000,000 days of food, water, health, and sanitation to families in need in 16 countries. He left the company in 2020 in order to concentrate more on his career as a keynote speaker and writer.[5]
Simultaneously, Pene also ran his entrepreneurial venture which he established in 2015 - Life Changing Accountants. The company is known for helping aspiring accountants scale their businesses.[6] In 2021, Pene founded The Greater Good Publishing House. He is also a Partnerships mentor for the entrepreneurial program Key Person of Influence, which operates in the UK, US, Australia, and Singapore.
Writing and Speaking Career
Pene self-released his first book titled Cashed Up: 7 steps to pull more money, time, and happiness from your business on 10 October 2000. Since then he has released a total of five books in the 101 Strategies business building series - Save Tax, Protect Assets, Boost Profits, and Create Wealth & Become A Business for Good.[7] Pene recently released Zero Poverty by 2030, which he co-authored with his daughter Havana Pene, a Lindisfarne grammar student. Apart from that, Pene has also co-authored Better Business, Better Life, Better World, and Legacy. In 2015, Pene addressed his first TEDx conference in Rockhampton, entitled "You can be, do and have anything you want".

Personal life
Pene is a testicular cancer survivor and has become the global face of the men’s health charity Movember. He is also currently studying to become a doctor because of this. He is fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.
