Gondawa is a small village of 2389 hectares in Balrampur Tehsil in Balrampur district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Gondawa depends on MATHURA BAZAR, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Gondawa's pin code is 271861[4], and village code is 06627200. The area of Gondawa is segregated as 656.43 hectares irrigated area, 1423.63 hectares unirrigated area. and remaining 157.21 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of MATHURA BAZAR and Balrampur to sell clay pots and make their living.
