Girwan is a small village of 1085 hectares in Naraini Tehsil in Banda district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Girwan depends on Naraini (NP), the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One Well supply, One tank, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sourcesOne canal. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Girwan's pin code is 210001[4], and village code is 04836800. The area of Girwan is segregated as 765 hectares irrigated area, 129 hectares unirrigated area. the 8 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves) and remaining 131 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Naraini (NP) and Banda to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
