Gaura is a small village of 170 hectares in Bara Tehsil in Allahabad district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Gaura depends on Fafamau, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, One tubewell and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sourcesOne canal. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. The area of Gaura is segregated as 130 hectares irrigated area, 3 hectares unirrigated area. remaining 7 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Fafamau and Allahabad to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
