Gauhaniya is a small village of 104 hectares in Tanda Tehsil in Ambedkar Nagar district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Gauhaniya depends on Iltifatganj Baz, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, Two Wells supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sourcesTwo canals and Two springs. Gauhaniya is also surrounded by Two lakes.
