Ganasanghati Andolan (Bengali language:গণসংহতি আন্দোলন), literally meaning Mass Solidarity Movement is a Bangladeshi political party. On 29 August 2002 this party was formed with the call for the people to build their own political power.[1] The party is affiliated with Bangladeshi leftist alliance Left Democratic Front. The party has close relation with other leftist parties.
History
On the 29th August of 2002 few political organization (i.e. Bangladesh Student fedaration, Bangladesh Versatile Labor and Hawker Association, Women Solidarity, Bangladesh Garments Labor Solidarity, Protibesh Andolan and Bangladesh Farmers-Labor Solidarity) came to form a common national polittical platform. 14 years after the formation on the 27th, 28th and 29th November of 2016 the third national conference of the party was held.[2]
Election Participation
In the Dhaka North City Corporation election Zonayed Saki contested as a mayoral candidate on behalf of the party. He lost the election.[3] Later he contested in the 2018 Bangladeshi general election|11th National Election from Dhaka-12 constituency.[4]
