Galheta is a small village of 785 hectares in Baraut Tehsil in Bagpat district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Galheta depends on binauli, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One tubewell and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Galheta's pin code is 250345[4], and village code is 01051600. The area of Galheta is segregated as 656.69 hectares irrigated area, 47.31 hectares unirrigated area. and remaining 81.53 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of binauli and Bagpat to sell jaggery and make their living.
