Fariya is a small village of 654 hectares in Nizamabad Tehsil in Azamgarh district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Fariya depends on Nizamabad (NP), the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Fariya's pin code is 223227[4], and village code is 08755500. The area of Fariya is segregated as 425 hectares irrigated area, 111 hectares unirrigated area. the 41 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves) and remaining 77 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Nizamabad (NP) and Azamgarh to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
