Faridpur is a small village of 140.4 hectares in Auraiya Tehsil in Auraiya district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Faridpur depends on Auraiya (MB), the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers,Two canals and Two springs. Faridpur is also surrounded byTwo lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Faridpur's pin code is 206122[4], and village code is 04165200. The area of Faridpur is segregated as 104.151 hectares irrigated area, 18.041 hectares unirrigated area. the 0.174 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves) and remaining 13.092 hectare area not available for cultivation.
