Eleni Myrivili
Eleni Myrivili is currently a Senior Consultant on Heat Resilience for the Arsht- Rock Resilience Center (Atlantic Council) and Athens City. She was appointed Athens Deputy Mayor for Urban Nature and Climate Resilience after being elected to City Government in 2014.
She co-chairs the Steering Committee of the global Resilient Cities Network (R-Cities) as she’s been appointed since 2015 Athens’ Chief Resilience Officer (100ResilientCities, pioneered by the Rockefeller Foundation). Her work on Heat has positioned Athens prominently in international urban Climate Change collaborations.
A tenured Assistant Professor in the Dept. of Cultural Technology and Communications, University of the Aegean, in Greece, Eleni Myrivili got her Ph.D. from Columbia University (N.Y.) in socio-cultural anthropology and has completed a year as a Loeb Fellow of Advanced Environmental Studies 2020, at the Harvard University Graduate School of Design.
