Elda M. Lopez is an American author, speaker, and relationship coach known for her work on preventing infidelity and strengthening relationships.[1] She is best known for her book "The Infidelity Factor: Points to Ponder Before You Cheat," in which she shares her experiences with infidelity from multiple perspectives.[2]
Early life and education
Lopez was born in Glendale, Southern California. She spent her formative years in Lincoln Heights and later relocated to Norwalk. At 17, she left home to pursue higher education. Lopez attended Rio Hondo College and studied at the University of Copenhagen in Denmark. She graduated from Whittier College with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Arts in 1978.
Career
Lopez's career spans various roles in the entertainment industry, including acting in film, television, radio, and stage productions. She has also worked as a dialogue coach, voice-over artist, and casting director.[3]
Lopez has taught English in Japan and tutored language arts in underserved communities in Los Angeles and Orange County.[4][5]
In 2012, Lopez published her book "The Infidelity Factor: Points to Ponder Before You Cheat," which addresses the issues surrounding infidelity and offers guidance for those affected by it.[6] Drawing from her personal experiences as both a betrayed wife and “the other woman,” the book aims to provide insights and practical advice to help individuals and couples understand and prevent infidelity. Lopez emphasizes the importance of self-awareness, communication, and commitment in building and maintaining healthy relationships. The book has garnered positive feedback and was nominated for a Global eBook Award.[7]
Lopez regularly speaks at conferences on personal relationships and contributes articles on infidelity prevention and relationship building to publications such as Bespoke Diaries, The LA Note, The Los Angeles Tribune, and Inspiration Unlimited eMagazine.[8]

Personal life
Lopez resides in Brentwood, Los Angeles. She has a passion for traveling, dancing, and photography. She enjoys exploring new cultures and has participated in activities such as parasailing in Puerto Vallarta, zip-lining in Costa Rica, skiing in the Austrian Alps, swimming with stingrays in Moorea and dancing onstage with the Gipsy Kings in Aarhus, Denmark. She is an active volunteer for various causes, particularly children's issues. Lopez is also an avid flamenco enthusiast and loves dark chocolate.
