Dr. Mansi J. Shah (born December 4, 1985) is an Indian Gut health expert,[1] nutritionist, a certified functional & nutritional medicine practitioner, entrepreneur, and marketing coach.[2]
Dr. Shah is regarded as a Gut Health expert for developing the 6th element that addresses digestive issues and is also a certified functional & nutritional medicine practitioner licensed in California.[3] She is the founder of Healthpreneur institute and the co-founder of Functional Wellness Network.[4]
Dr. Shah can be often seen at seminars, health and nutrition conferences, and wellness events, speaking and engaging in health and medical talks. She has an experience of over 11 years in functional medicine,[5] drug therapy management, and providing consultation on lifestyle.
Early life and education
Dr. Shah was born on December 4, 1985, in Baroda, Gujarat, India, the daughter of Jagdeep Shah, an entrepreneur, and Rejeshree Shah. Dr. Shah grew up in a family where they practiced vegan ways and used yoga, nutrition, and ayurvedic treatments to maintain a healthy life. She considers her father to be her role model for choosing to pursue entrepreneurship. During her adult years, Dr.Shah was interested in taking on adventure activities, exploring new places, and connecting to people on a spiritual level. Her upbringing made her passionate about health, fitness, travel, nature, and being a go-giver.
Dr. Shah completed B.Pharm from MIT World Peace University in the year 2007. While pursuing her bachelor's in pharmaceutical science, Dr.Shah was involved in various activities and societies at MIT, including dance competitions, fashion shows, ramp walks, and as a leader for various cultural events. She later went to HACC, Central Pennsylvania's Community College to pursue associate pre-pharmacy studies. During the years 2009-2012, Dr. Shah pursued PharmD from the Roseman University of Health Sciences. In 2019, she enrolled to pursue a course in Alternative and Complementary Medical Support Services at the Functional Medicine Coaching Academy Inc.
Career
Dr.Shah started her career in 2007, when she began working at the CVS Pharmacy, as an intern. She worked for 13 years at this pharmacy and grew through the roles of staff pharmacist and derived as the pharmacy manager for 5 years, before leaving the job.
In October 2019, she started working at MedWatchers as an MTM Pharmacist. During the years 2019-2021, Dr. Shah also worked as an integrative pharmacist at Pharmaca Integrative Pharmacy and combined the eastern and western treatment therapies through Ayurveda, homeopathy, allopathy, and herbs. In September 2019, she started working as a finance specialist at Transamerica and later shifted to Cloud11 Property Solutions LLC as a chief executive officer. She also works as a freelance medical science liaison at the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine, San Diego.
In 2014, Dr.Shah’s 6th element program focused on restoring Gastrointestinal wellness was launched by the Functional Wellness Network.[6][7][8]
In December 2019, she joined in as the co-founder of Functional Wellness Network and currently serves as its CEO, responsible for undertaking activities leading to business development for clinics, individuals, wellness centers, med spas, and pharmacies through the functional medicine approach.
In 2021, Dr. Shah joined the Eldahmy Wellness Pharmacy as a Functional Pharmacist.
In January 2022, Dr. Shah established the Healthpreneur Institute as a place for learning entrepreneurial skills and knowledge for entrepreneurs in the health industry.
Dr. Shah also runs a Radio Talk Show and is the podcast co-host at the healthcare corner show. The show hosts conversations with leading healthcare industry experts providing meaningful and powerful insights on health. She is also a keynote speaker at various Functional and Regenerative medicine conferences.
