Doongre Ki Dhani is a small village of 2280 hectares in Pokaran Tehsil in Jaisalmer district, nicknamed ""The Golden city"" in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Doongre Ki Dhani depends on POKARAN, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, Two Wells supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Doongre Ki Dhani is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tubewell. Doongre Ki Dhani's pin code is 345024[4], and village code is 02060900. The area of Doongre Ki Dhani is segregated as 1091 hectares unirrigated, the 1052.61 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 136 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of POKARAN and Jaisalmer to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
