Don Bar (also known as 'The Don Bar', 'The Don War Memorial Museum', 'The Don War Memorial Museum & Veterans Hub' or 'The Don War Memorial bar'), is a war memorial bar on Cranworth St, Thornaby-on-Tees, County Durham. The bar was first established between 2011 and 2012 on Calvert's Ln Stockton-on-Tees, but had to close and relocate to Thornaby due to 'unaffordable rent and rates'.[1]The pub is most known for honouring servicemen and women for their service in the army, notably by sticking 70,000 Poppies throughout their building.[2]
