Phasmophobia has seven items, or Cursed Possessions, that have a chance to spawn on a map, all unique in their function and appearance. There is the Haunted Mirror, Tarot Cards, Music Box, Voodoo Doll, Ouija Board, Summoning Circle, and the Monkey Paw.

Haunted Mirror:

This item can be found hanging on a wall in selected map. When used by the player it will show a glimpse of the ghosts room, showing exactly where it is. Upon usage, it will drain either 7.5% sanity per second of activation, or 20% sanity, whichever is larger. If a player with 0% sanity attempts to use the mirror or the cost causes the player currently using it to drop to 0% sanity, the mirror will break, lowering and becoming useless for the remainder of the round. Additionally, it will cause the ghost to begin a Cursed Hunt at its location.

Tarot Cards

The Tarot Cards are 10 total cards with a combination of 10 different cards. Each time this item appears in different games, the deck is different each time. When each card is pulled, it burns, disappearing from the players hand seconds after being pulled.

The Tower: This card forces a ghost interaction and doubles all ghost activity for 20 seconds. Draw chance: 20%.

The Wheel of Fortune: This card either grants or removes 25% Sanity from the player using it. Draw chance: 20%

The Fool: This card will copy another random card, then morphing into the fool as it burn. No other effects occur. Draw chance 17% or 100% when drawn during a hunt.

The Devil: This card causes a ghost event targeting the nearest player to the ghost. Draw chance: 10%.

Death: Death causes a cursed hunt to occur. Draw chance: 10%.

The Hermit: This will teleport the ghost back to its room and trap it their for one minute, disallowing roaming to occur. Draw chance: 10%.

The Sun: This instantly causes the player's sanity to raise to 100%. Draw chance: 5%.

The Moon: This instantly causes the player's sanity to drop to 0%. Draw chance: 5%.

The High Priestess: This will revive a random player at their corpse. If no one is dead, it will revive the next player who dies. Draw chance: 2%.

The Hanged Man: This will instantly kill the player who drew it. Draw chance: 1%.

Music Box:

When activated, the music box plays a tune, causing the ghost to hum or sing along with it if it is within 20 meters, broadcasting its location. If the ghost is within 5 meters, it will manifest, walking towards the box. If it walks for more than 5 seconds or reaches the box, it will start a cursed hunt. If the player is within 2.5 meters, the song will drain 2.5% sanity per second for each second of the song heard. The music box can only be used once.

Voodoo Doll:

This is a doll that has 10 pins in it. When using the item, it will cause a random pin to be pushed in, deducting a user's sanity by 5% and forcing the ghost to perform and interaction. If the pin in the heart is pressed down, it will deduct 10% of the user's sanity and causing a cursed hunt. If a user attempts to use the item will less sanity than the cost, it will trigger all pins to be pushed in, rendering the doll useless for the remainder of the game and starting a cursed hunt.

Ouija Board:

The Ouija Board is a way to interact with the ghost by asking it certain questions. Each question will drain a certain amount of sanity and if it drains more that is available from that player, it will start a cursed hunt, breaking the board. If Goodbye is not said when leaving the board, it will also cause a cursed hunt and break the board if there is no one within 5 meters of it.

Summoning Circle:

The Summoning Circle is the only cursed item that cannot be moved. It consists of a pentagram which has a candle at the tip of each point of the star. Lighting each candle takes 16% sanity for nearby players. When all five candles are lit, the ghost is teleported to the circle, materializing and remaining motionless for 5 seconds. after 5 seconds are up, it will start a cursed hunt. Additionally, if a player has less than 16% when lighting the last candle, it will start a cursed hunt immediately.

Monkey Paw:

This Possession spawn with up to 5 wish charges. Wishing form something causes one usage, curling the finger towards the palm. The item will grant a few certain set wishes, but each will have a downside that comes with them.
