Chhorhar is a small village of 120 hectares in Ballia Tehsil in Ballia district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Chhorhar depends on HANUMANGANJ, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One Well supply which is 10.00% of the total supply, One tubewell and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Chhorhar's pin code is 277001[4], and village code is 09213200. The area of Chhorhar is segregated as 75 hectares irrigated area, 4 hectares unirrigated area. and remaining 5 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of HANUMANGANJ and Ballia to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
