Chherdih is a small village of 324.2 hectares in Bairia Tehsil in Ballia district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Chherdih depends on Reoti (NP), the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One Well supply and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Chherdih's pin code is 277209[4], and village code is 09298800. The area of Chherdih is segregated as 288 hectares irrigated area, 160 hectares unirrigated area. the 18 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves) and remaining 8 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Chherdih has One post office (Chheridih B.O). Chherdih has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Reoti (NP) and Ballia to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
