Chetara is a small village of 357 hectares in Bahraich Tehsil in Bahraich district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Chetara depends on BADPUR, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, One tubewell and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Chetara's pin code is 271806[4], and village code is 06483200. The area of Chetara is segregated as 50 hectares irrigated area, 100 hectares unirrigated area.

Chetara has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Chetara is a census village in the district of Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh. The village has a total population of 2120 and has total administration over 382 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of BADPUR and Bahraich to sell jaggery and make their living.
