Chauru is a small village of 4757 hectares in Phagi Tehsil in Jaipur district, also known as the Pink City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Chauru depends on Bagru, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, One tank, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Chauru is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Chauru's pin code is 303005[4], and village code is 01529000. The area of Chauru is segregated as 333.28 hectares irrigated area, 3684.65 hectares unirrigated, the 421.18 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 317.5 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Chauru is a census village in the district of Jaipur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 5804 and has total administration over 936 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Bagru and Jaipur to sell leather shoes and make their living.
