Chauki is a small village of 365 hectares in Jhadol Tehsil in Udaipur district, also called 'the city of lakes' set amidst the Aravalli Ranges in the state of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Chauki depends on Udaipur, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Chauki is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Chauki's pin code is 313702[4], and village code is 03128700. The area of Chauki is segregated as 2 hectares irrigated area, 10 hectares unirrigated, the 1 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 91.98 hectare area not available for cultivation.
