Chaugan is a small village of 1033 hectares in Etmadpur Tehsil in Agra district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Chaugan depends on Etmadpur (MB), the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Chaugan's pin code is 282006[4], and village code is 01567100. The area of Chaugan is segregated as 395 hectares irrigated area, 423 hectares unirrigated, remaining 43 hectare area not available for cultivation.
