Chaktara is a small village of 44.28 hectares in Haidergarh Tehsil in Barabanki district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Chaktara depends on Haidergarh (NP), the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One Well supply and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Chaktara's pin code is 225416[4], and village code is 05843500. The area of Chaktara is segregated as 19.26 hectares irrigated area, 0.56 hectares unirrigated area. the 0.55 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves) and remaining 4.32 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Chaktara is a census village in the district of Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh. The village has a total population of 532 and has total administration over 91 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Haidergarh (NP) and Barabanki to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
