Chahalwa is a small village of 2320 hectares in Nanpara Tehsil in Bahraich district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Chahalwa depends on Nanpara, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Chahalwa's pin code is 271841[4], and village code is 06425700. The area of Chahalwa is segregated as 43.79 hectares irrigated area. the 1634.51 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves) and remaining 642.56 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Nanpara and Bahraich to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
