Borla Jatan is a small village of 1303 hectares in Chohtan Tehsil in Barmer district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Borla Jatan depends on BARMER, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Borla Jatan is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tubewell. Borla Jatan's pin code is 344704[4], and village code is 02265700. The area of Borla Jatan is segregated as 703.3 hectares irrigated area, 406.31 hectares unirrigated, remaining 193.66 hectare area not available for cultivation.
