Booj is a small village of 1175 hectares in Jamwa Ramgarh Tehsil in Jaipur district, also known as the Pink City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Booj depends on Jaipur, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Booj is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Booj's pin code is 303109[4], and village code is 01606400. The area of Booj is segregated as 345 hectares irrigated area, 301 hectares unirrigated, the 171 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 57 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Jaipur and Jaipur to sell earthen pot and make their living.
