Birhuni is a small village of 448.3 hectares in Auraiya Tehsil in Auraiya district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Birhuni depends on Atasu (NP), the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, One tubewell and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers,Two canals and Two springs. Birhuni is also surrounded byTwo lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Birhuni's pin code is 206129[4], and village code is 04140600. The area of Birhuni is segregated as 412.82 hectares irrigated area, 1.11 hectares unirrigated area. and remaining 34.41 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Atasu (NP) and Auraiya to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
