Bikarni is a small village of 348 hectares in Kotra Tehsil in Udaipur district, also called 'the city of lakes' set amidst the Aravalli Ranges in the state of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Bikarni depends on Abu Road, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, Two canals and Two springs. Bikarni is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Bikarni's pin code is 307025[4], and village code is 03102900. The area of Bikarni is segregated as 12 hectares irrigated area, 54 hectares unirrigated, the 36 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 65 hectare area not available for cultivation.
