Bengali is a small village of hectares in Car Nicobar Tehsil in Nicobar district in the Union territory of andaman & Nicobar Islands, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Bengali depends on Port Blair, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Bengali is also surrounded by Two lakes.
