Basi is a small village of 756 hectares in Khekada Tehsil in Bagpat district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Basi depends on Khekada (NP), the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Basi's pin code is 250101[4], and village code is 01065500. The area of Basi is segregated as 678 hectares irrigated area, 5 hectares unirrigated area. and remaining 29.4 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Basi has One post office (Bassi B.O) and One public telephone. Basi has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Khekada (NP) and Bagpat to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
