Basara is a small village of 217.9 hectares in Fatehpur Tehsil in Barabanki district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Basara depends on kursi, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Basara's pin code is 225302[4], and village code is 05691700. The area of Basara is segregated as 93.224 hectares irrigated area, 26.801 hectares unirrigated area. the 9.491 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves) and remaining 18.633 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Basara has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Basara is a census village in the district of Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh. The village has a total population of 2296 and has total administration over 378 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of kursi and Barabanki to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
